Indicator: Employment rates ages 16-64
According to Healthy People 2030, “People who work are more likely to have positive health outcomes, but many people in the United States have trouble finding and keeping a job. Employment programs that provide career counseling, jobs, and educational opportunities to low-income and underemployed populations may help more people find and keep paid work.” [2]
The charts below present employment rates in Summit County Ohio belonging to different populations. The employment rates shown are the percentage people employed in the labor force aged 16-64. The labor force is those working or actively looking for work [1]. The disparities seen in the charts highlight the need to reduce systemic inequality in educational opportunities.
