About SEI
Summit Education Initiative (SEI) is the cradle-to-career backbone organization uniting Summit County, Ohio for cradle-to-career success. As a nonprofit backbone organization, we serve as a strategic connector and learning partner, aligning efforts and providing tools that support measurable improvement in educational outcomes.
We bring together schools, early learning centers, out-of-school-time providers, government agencies, businesses, higher education institutions, families and community organizations to ensure every child thrives from birth to career.
What we do
Enable Peer Learning Networks (PLNs)
These networks unite high-impact partners across sectors to focus on key indicators like kindergarten readiness, third-grade reading proficiency and college and career readiness.
Provide data tools & research
Our interactive dashboards and real-time data help partners make informed decisions, target interventions and track progress across cradle-to-career outcomes.
Align & amplify collective impact
We help reduce duplication and increase overall impact of county-wide initiatives by convening community partners and individuals to build shared goals and coordinate strategies.

Districts can launch Students for Equity and Excellence (SEE) clubs. A leaders from each club serves on the countywide Youth Coalition.
Out-of-school time (OST) agencies can collaborate with OST providers on data-driven strategies for safe and engaging after-school programs.
Support our programs, data tools and publications or sponsor events such as our annual fundraiser, workshops, forums or SCYC programs.
