Hi Friend,

October reminds us of the power of resilience. From survivors of breast cancer and domestic violence to students overcoming everyday challenges, this month shines a light on the strength that grows through community support and connection.

As educators, families and community partners, we all play a role in helping students build that resilience. Here are a few ways to nurture strength and connection this month:

• Create safe spaces for open, honest conversations in classrooms and homes.

• Recognize and uplift community partners offering support services.

• Encourage students to participate in awareness or service projects.

• Celebrate examples of perseverance and leadership among youth.

Resilience is built through relationships and every small act of care, encouragement and understanding makes a lasting difference. Together, we continue to build a community where every child feels supported, valued and capable of success. Let’s keep showing our students and one another that resilience grows stronger when we face challenges side by side.

Listening to students gives us the insight we need to take meaningful action and ensure every student has the support and opportunities they deserve.
