The Board of Directors of the Summit Education Initiative is made up of civic and business leaders who share the vision of educational excellence for all Summit County students. Board members serve three year terms which may be renewed. The Board is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and ten to fifteen additional members. Several ad-hoc and standing committees assist in the work of the the Board. They meet four times per year.
The Board responsibilities include:

Hire, support, and evaluate the Executive Director

Ensure development and execution of strategic plans
